The Perfect Steak
Ingredients
Steak (your choice)
Worcestershire sauce
Salt
Pepper
Fresh rosemary
Fresh thyme
Season the Steak: Sprinkle Worcestershire sauce on both sides of the steak. Generously season with salt and pepper.
Add Herbs: Sprinkle fresh rosemary and thyme on both sides of the steak.
Let it Marinate: Allow the steak to sit at room temperature for 1 hour (this helps it cook quickly and evenly).
Preheat Oven & Pan: Preheat your oven to 450°F. Heat a cast iron skillet on high heat on the stove.
Sear the Steak: Place the steak in the hot skillet and cook for 5 minutes until browned.
Finish in Oven: Flip the steak, then transfer the skillet to the oven to cook to your desired doneness:
Rare: 120-125°F
Medium Rare: 130-135°F
Medium: 140-145°F
Let it rest for a few minutes before serving, and enjoy your perfectly cooked steak!
